Things You Need to Know
We know pet insurance can be confusing. Here are a few things to keep in mind.
Veterinary Exam Fees (Optional)
Believe it or not, some carriers won't pay your veterinary examination or consultation fees related to a covered illness or injury. We provide you the optional coverage for these fees.
Like other pet insurance companies, we exclude pre-existing conditions. Those are conditions that first occurred or showed clinical signs before your pet's coverage started or during the waiting periods.
Co-Pay & Reimbursement
These terms can be confusing. The co-pay is the amount you pay, and the reimbursement is the amount Figo pays. You can choose from various reimbursement options with your plan.
Some companies require you to pay a deductible per each illness or injury. They call it Per Condition; we call it Not Cool. With Figo, once you meet your one annual deductible, you're done for the year.
These vary widely between companies. Figo plans may include an accident, illness, and knee waiting period. All waiting periods begins the day after enrollment or the day you select as your policy effective date.
Our pet insurance plans may provide up to 100% reimbursement for covered medical expenses
Here's the deal: If your pet has a new covered accident, injury or illness, you may be reimbursed for the following medical expenses.
Exam & Consultation Fees (optional)
Emergency & Hospitalization
Hereditary & Congenital Conditions
Prosthetics & Orthopedics
What's Not Covered
Here’s the other deal: At Figo, we have nothing to hide. We think it is just as important to show you what isn't covered.
