Roam: Pet friendly places in Denver, Colorado

October 7, 2016

Denver can be a dog friendly city if you have the right guide. This blog highlights pet friendly restaurants, hotels and parks in Denver, Colorado.

Roam: Pet friendly places in Denver, Colorado

Denver is a very pet friendly city. No matter where you walk--downtown or in one of the neighboring suburbs--you will often see a four-legged companion accompanying their human. In a city where there are so many pet-friendly places to hang out, eat and drink, it’s hard to pick only a few, so here’s a list of some popular, local favorites.

Brewery:Colorado is known for its breweries. In a state with only 2 percent of the country’s population, we have about 8 percent of the country’s breweries. If you are looking to try a great brew and hang out with your dog, check out 4 Noses Brewing Company.

Bar:If you are looking to give your dog some exercise while enjoying a cold one, head over to The Watering Bowl. Part dog park, part tavern--and it’s a great place to pass the time on a warm summer evening.

Restaurant: There is no shortage of good places to eat in Denver, but a good meal is always made better when our furry friends are around. Enjoy great food and a full bar with your canine companion on the patio at The Tavern Uptown.

Hotel:If you are visiting Denver or just enjoying a staycation, it’s always nice to bring your dog. The Westin Westminster is a great hotel with many attractions within walking distance.

Park:Colorado doesn’t lack in outdoor space. We have trails and parks galore. If you are looking for a great dog park, head over to Chatfield State Park. It has over 69 acres of off-leash fun with a variety of terrains to keep your dog interested. There is a fee to use the park, so be sure to bring your wallet, then watch your dog have a great time.
